(6-12 Grades)

July 22 - August 3, 2019

Survivor narratives are not only incredibly powerful but are deeply fundamental to the study of the Holocaust and other genocides. Students will read and listen to survivor testimonies and tour the Museum exhibits. Then, they will work with their Experience Leader to write a monologue, skit, musical or dance reflection on what they have learned. Students will spend time in performing arts workshops with professionals in the art community to prepare their performances. Through their interpretation, they will demonstrate their reactions to what they have learned, the hardships of survival, the stories of hope and the people from whom they have heard. They will host a showcase in the Museum's amphitheater on Saturday, August 3, 2019. This showcase will be open to the Museum community.
