La Palomba ("The Dove") ponders this cross-cultural emblem of peace through a program of new music honoring the past, reflecting our present, and innovating for the future. 

Isabelle Ganz's La Palomba explores ancient Ladino songs and stories of the Holocaust set to Sephardic-inspired music, composed for Apollo and special guests Cecilia Duarte (mezzo-soprano) and Jesus Pacheco (percussion). John Cornelius' PAX is a multidisciplinary journey of musical and literary delights, intersecting musical vignettes with songs inspired by the poetry of Langston Hughes and spoken word. Houston Poet Laureate Outspoken Bean and tenor Kenneth Gayle join Apollo for this meaningful reflection of peace and human rights.
