8:30 AM  –  4:00 PM

Join us for a one-day Holocaust 101 education workshop for teachers. Educators will learn how to approach the subject of the Holocaust in the classroom. The workshop will use Holocaust Museum Houston’s galleries to introduce the Holocaust and will provide a variety of resources to utilize in the classroom. Topics include the long and short term causes of the Holocaust, using testimonies and diaries with students, and how art can help us gain a better understanding of the survivor experience.

Teachers from the 6th-12th grade, university and extracurricular programs (music, art, etc.) are encouraged to participate. The fee for this program is $25 per person, which includes workshop materials, lunch, and parking.

This workshop will credit 7 CPE hours and 6 GT hours.
